Three board members will seek re-election to serve another three-year term. The current directors are Donald Bush of Pickering, District 1; J.R. Hickman of DeRidder, District 3; and Tommy Cryar of Moss Bluff, District 9. The procedure and schedule for the process are as follows:
2026 Election Information
• One director to be elected in each District 1, District 3 and District 9.
• All nominations are to be by petition. Official petition forms and instructions will be available in all BECi Offices and on this page beginning Friday, January 2, 2026.
• Petitions must be delivered to the BECi DeRidder Office no later than 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026.
• Names of nominees will be posted by Friday, January 23, 2026.
• Membership cut-off date to be eligible to vote is Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
• Ballots may be mailed no earlier than February 21, 2026, and no later than March 18, 2026.
• Deadline to receive ballots is March 20, 2026.
• BECi Annual Meeting will be on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
