DeRidder, LA –– BECi crews, along with additional crews from Texas and Louisiana have diligently worked throughout the day to restore power to members who experienced a power outage due to Hurricane Gustav.
As of 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008, Beauregard Electric has restored power to all but approximately 400 of its more than 38,000 members. BECi anticipates that all members who can receive power will be restored today.
“We were able to bring a lot of folks back on-line today,” said Kay Fox, VP of Marketing and Member Services. “It’s always gratifying to see the house lights come on, but it’s the grunt work – days spent repairing and replacing power poles and restringing miles of new distribution line – that makes it possible.”
BECi serves the electric energy needs of residential, commercial and industrial customers in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Evangeline, Jeff Davis, Rapides and Vernon Parishes.
