BECi Announces Staff Promotions

DeRidder, LA – Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BECi) has promoted Shirley Sweat to office manager in the Moss Bluff Branch and Freddy Campbell to Manager of Purchasing and Warehouse Services.

Sweat will be responsible for managing the Moss Bluff Branch Office and will work to provide members with prompt, efficient and courteous consumer account and collecting services. She will also provide leadership and direction for those responsible for providing consumer services in the area office. Prior to her promotion, Sweat has worked for BECi for ten years, beginning as a meter reader and then as a customer service representative. She resides in DeQuincy with her husband, Joey. The couple has two daughters, Stacey and Lacey, and three grandchildren.

Campbell began working for BECi in 1978 has a helper in the warehouse. In the past 29 years, he has held several positions in the warehouse and dispatching departments. As manager of purchasing and warehouse services, Campbell will be responsible for all utility purchasing and inventory services and will coordinate BECi’s daily warehousing functions to provide efficient service to the membership of the cooperative. Campbell has completed the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Materials Management Certification Program and completed the Louisiana Lineman’s Training Program administered through the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives (ALEC) in Baton Rouge. Campbell resides in Dry Creek with his wife, Shannon, and two sons, Joshua and Ethan.
