DeRidder, LA – Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BECi) has promoted Kay Fox to vice president of marketing and member services and Kevin Turner to vice president of operations.
Fox will be responsible for managing the activities and related functions of marketing and member services, which include media communications and consumer services. She began working for BECi in 1995 as a communications specialist and was promoted to director of public relations in 2004 before accepting her latest position. Fox holds a bachelor of science degree in communications and a master of education degree in instructional technology from McNeese State University and is a member of the DeRidder Rotary Club and the United Way of Southwest Louisiana Communications Committee. She is past president of the Louisiana Member Services Association, is a graduate of the Southwest/Chamber Leadership Program and was voted 1998-1999 DeRidder Rotarian of the Year. Fox resides in Dry Creek with her husband, Nick, and their three children, Ryan, Megan and Logan.
Turner will be responsible for implementing procedures for the safe and efficient construction, operation and maintenance of BECi’s transmission and distribution system and warehousing, line materials, vehicles and mechanic shop. He has worked at BECi for 15 years and holds an associate degree in industrial electronics from Sowela Technical Community College. He began working as a building maintenance technician and was promoted to apparatus technician in 1994. Before his current promotion, Turner held the position of supervisor of metering and substation control systems, which he has held since 2000. Turner resides in Grant with his wife, Pylla and two children, Christa and Lance.
