DeRidder, LA – Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BECi) has promoted Mark Royer as Supervisor of System Inspection, Reliability and Maintenance and Stephen Slaydon as Right-of-Way Foreman.
Royer will be responsible for inspecting BECi’s distribution system and transmission lines and will supervise substation equipment and maintenance. He began working for BECi in 1978 as a helper and has worked as a journeyman, lead lineman and most recently as a crew chief lineman for nine years. Royer and his wife, Leah, reside in Ragley and have four children, Zachary, Zane, Marli and Mitch.
Slaydon will be responsible for supervising the right-of-way crew. He has worked at BECi for seven years and has completed five of the six levels of the Right-of-Way Training Program. He holds a utility arborist and commercial pesticide license with the La. Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Slaydon resides in Rosepine with his wife, Aimee, and their five children, Josie, Stephen, Lucas, Morgan, and Levi.
